16 years ago this was me at the half way point of my Thru hike with my then boyfriend. I was undoubtedly in the best shape of my life— strong and lean and burning calories like a toddler. But, lots has changed since then…that boyfriend turned into my husband, my pack became a stroller (3 times over), our tent became a chaotic house and that trail that took us to Maine just seems to keep winding on.
Although I’m not 21 anymore, oddly, I still struggle with the same clothing fit issues I always have. My shoulders are narrow but my hips are big so tops are often awkward at either the top or bottom or both. Only adding to the frustration is a waist that matches my shoulders… can you say gaping waistband? Basically, if I want bottoms to fit- I have to tie them on… just like this first picture.
But something really exciting is in the works and I’m pretty thrilled to be able to see it coming in to fruition and act as an ambassador for this genius idea. It’s a company named Fibher and their mission is simple- making Active apparel that is custom fit and the start up is right here in Portland, Maine. No more settling for pieces that are ‘pretty good’ or ‘kinda sorta’ fit. I can’t wait to see what @fibherapparel brings to the table! Check them out, ladies!
